I saw this over on My Money Blog. He also has info on a $50 offer for opening a new account so check it out if you’re interested. If you already have a Sharebuilder account and want two free trades, it’s super easy:
- Log in to your Sharebuilder account
- Click on the promotions tab
- Enter the code: RTTSITE
That’s it, you should see confirmation that 2 free trades will be credited to your account and you’ll receive an email as well. You have until 1/31/09 to use them. Since real time trades usually cost $9.95 this is nearly a $20 savings. I will probably use the trades to trim some ETF dogs that I bought last year and use the losses to offset my taxes.
